Bathroom delivery across UK mainland
We deliver to addresses across UK mainland. The delivery charge for your order is shown at checkout before you pay. [CHECK: delivery charges and any free delivery threshold]
How long delivery takes depends on whether an item is in stock or made to order. The expected time is shown when you order and confirmed when we accept the order. [CHECK: standard delivery times for stock and made-to-order items]
How larger items are delivered
Small items such as taps, wastes and accessories travel by parcel carrier. Ceramics, baths and furniture are heavy and break if they are dropped, so they travel on a pallet or by two-person delivery.
Pallet deliveries are made to the kerbside, or as close to it as the vehicle and a pallet truck can safely reach on a hard, level surface. The driver does not carry goods into the house, so have people ready to move them. A ceramic bath or a basin with its pedestal needs at least two people to lift it safely.
Two-person delivery brings the goods into the property. [CHECK: two-person delivery service level, for example room of choice, and its charge]
Access
Tell us about access when you order. We need to know about narrow lanes, weight or height limits, steep or unmade drives, gated developments, parking restrictions and any times when a vehicle cannot stop outside. Large vehicles cannot reach every address. A delivery that cannot be completed because access is not as described may have to be rebooked at a further charge. [CHECK: failed delivery charge]
Check the route inside the house as well. Measure doorways, stair turns and landings against the dimensions of the bath and any large furniture; dimensions are on each product page and on the specification sheet. A freestanding bath that will not turn on a staircase is better found out before delivery than on the day.
Deliveries to site
For deliveries to a building site we need a named site contact with a mobile number, the site address and any separate delivery entrance, and details of any booking or loading slot. On sites with restricted access, including many in central London, slots are set by the main contractor, so give us as much notice as you can. Someone must be on site to receive and sign for the goods.
Trade customers can call off deliveries against the programme, so that concealed frames arrive for first fix and finished ceramics and brassware arrive for second fix. See the trade page.
Checking your delivery
Check every delivery when it arrives. Count the packages against the delivery note and look for damage to the packaging before you sign. If anything is damaged or missing, write it on the delivery note or the driver’s device before signing. If you cannot inspect the goods while the driver is with you, sign for them as unchecked.
Then unpack and inspect each item as soon as you can, and always before it is fitted. Look over the glaze in good light, and check plated brassware and painted furniture. Report any damage or shortage to us within [CHECK: damage reporting window] of delivery, with photographs of the item and its packaging, by email to hello@bathurstandco.co.uk or on 01449 711782. Prompt reporting lets us claim against the carrier and send a replacement sooner.
Do not fit an item you believe is damaged or faulty. Once a piece is plumbed in and tiled around, it is much harder to establish when the damage happened, and replacing it means taking part of the room apart. Your rights for faulty goods are set out on our returns page.
Scottish Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland
Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, the Scottish islands, other UK islands and Northern Ireland are by quotation. Send us the delivery postcode and the items you want, and we will confirm the cost and timing before you order. [CHECK: postcodes treated as Highlands and islands] For an address outside the UK, please contact us first.
Questions about a delivery already booked can go to 01449 711782 or through the contact page. Answers to common questions are on our FAQs.
