Our mirrors are sized to sit over particular basins: Thornham mirrors at 80 by 70cm, 100 by 70cm and 150 by 70cm; Framsden mirrors in painted frames and in glossy black, silver or gold; and an LED mirror with a matt black frame in six sizes from 70 by 60cm to 70 by 160cm. Lighting runs from period wall lights in chrome, bronze or gold to the Orwell LED light and the Waveney lamps.

Choosing a bathroom mirror

Size the mirror to the basin, not the wall. A mirror a little narrower than the basin or washstand below it looks deliberate, and the Thornham sizes follow its basin widths. The Framsden 116cm mirror comes 63cm or 92cm wide in matt white, walnut colour, green or bordeaux, to match the Framsden cabinets. The tall 70 by 180cm Framsden mirror suits a dressing area.

Lighting and the electrical zones

Bathroom lighting is governed by the zones in BS 7671, which set how close to a bath or shower a fitting can go and the ingress protection it needs. Electrical work in a bathroom also falls under Part P of the Building Regulations. Wall lights, LED mirrors and lighting kits should be installed by a qualified electrician, who will confirm each fitting suits its zone.

There is a wall lamp with a white or black shade, plain wall lights, the Orwell LED light at 30cm or 60cm, and the Waveney Pawn lamp. The Waveney lighting kits fit the Lantern and Cask freestanding basins and switch by foot switch or remote control.
