Ore

Ore is a vessel basin made in a wide range of gloss and matt glazes, with a lower-profile version, Ore Low. Both sit on top of a worktop, washstand or vanity, so the whole bowl is on show.

Glazes

Ore comes in white, an easy-clean white and matt glazes including white, black, grey, burgundy, hazel, brown, iron and green. A Waveney version, the Waveney Ore vessel basin, is also made in finishes named Carrara White, Marquinia Black, Alpi Green, Siena Yellow and Sodalite Lapis Lazuli.

Choose the glaze against the worktop and the taps rather than on its own. A matt black Ore on pale stone with nickel taps gives contrast; a matt hazel or brown on oak reads warmer. We can show glaze samples at the showroom.

Ore or Ore Low

Ore Low has a lower bowl, so it adds less height to the counter. That helps where the counter is already at a fixed height, as on an existing vanity, or where a tall bowl would put the rim too high for comfort. The standard Ore gives a deeper bowl and more presence.

Planning the tap and vanity

A vessel basin needs a tall mono mixer or a wall-mounted spout. With Ore Low, check the spout clears the rim and reaches the centre of the bowl. Work out the finished rim height before the furniture is drawn; our joinery workshop can make the vanity to suit.
