Our brassware comes in two families. Framsden is period in style, in chrome, gold or bronze, with mono and three-hole basin mixers, mono and three-hole bidet mixers, a bath shower mixer and stand pipes. Orwell is contemporary, in matt white, matt black, chrome or nickel, with a basin mono mixer, a high mono mixer for vessel basins, a wall basin mixer, a bidet mixer, a freestanding bath shower mixer and a trigger spray for the WC.

Matching tap to basin

The tap has to match the basin’s tap holes. A three-hole basin takes a three-hole mixer; a one-hole basin takes a mono mixer. A vessel basin needs a tall mixer or a wall mixer, because a standard mono will not clear the rim. An undercounter basin takes a wall mixer or a tap set into the worktop. Many of our basins are offered with one or three tap holes, so choose the tap first and order the basin to suit.

For baths, the Framsden bath shower mixer can be paired with deck legs, which we list in chrome, bronze and gold. The Orwell freestanding bath shower mixer stands on the floor beside the bath.

Before you order

Check the tap against the water pressure in the house. Low-pressure gravity systems and mains-pressure systems behave differently, and some mixers need a minimum pressure to work well; we can advise before you order. Plan isolating valves under each tap so it can be serviced. Match the finish of wastes and traps from fittings and wastes, and see basins and baths.
