Our toilets cover every common fixing: wall-hung, back-to-wall, close-coupled, and high- and low-level with a cistern on the wall. They come in the period collections Framsden, Thornham and Debenham, and the contemporary collections Orwell, Stour, Deben and Blyth, with cisterns, seats and urinals listed alongside. The Framsden toilet pan is made with a floor or wall outlet.

Choosing a toilet

The fixing usually follows the room. A wall-hung toilet sits on a concealed frame and leaves the floor clear for cleaning. A back-to-wall toilet stands on the floor with the cistern hidden in furniture or a boxed wall. A close-coupled toilet has the cistern on the pan and is the simplest to fit. A high- or low-level toilet is the arrangement most period houses were built with.

Deben has the widest choice of sizes, including pans with a bidet function. Orwell has quiet-flush pans. Thornham has extended pans for its high- and low-level toilets.

Before you order

Check the outlet. A floor outlet, or S trap, runs down through the floor; a wall outlet, or P trap, runs back through the wall. Measure from the finished wall to the centre of the existing soil pipe if you are reusing it. New WCs must meet the UK water fittings regulations on flush volume. Seats are usually sold separately and are made for a particular pan.
