Every Bathurst & Co collection is a family of pieces designed to work together: basins, WCs and bidets, baths, and the cisterns, seats, wastes and fittings that join them, with brassware, furniture and accessories in many of them. Choosing within one collection keeps proportions, rim profiles and finishes consistent from one side of the room to the other. Mixing collections is fine too, and often the right answer in a large house, but it pays to check heights and finishes side by side; we are happy to do that for you.

The collections fall into two families. The period collections are drawn from the bathrooms of the late nineteenth century to the 1930s. The contemporary collections are built around concealed frames, wall-hung furniture and vessel basins, many in matt glazes. The ceramics are made in Italy.

Period collections

For Victorian, Edwardian and inter-war houses, and for new houses built in those manners. Exposed flush pipes, washstands and roll-top baths need more planning than a modern suite, so read our guide to planning a period bathroom before you start.

A bathroom from the Framsden collection

Framsden

Framsden is our early twentieth-century collection. The basins have softly rounded rims and stand on ceramic pedestals or legs; the WCs come as close-coupled, back-to-wall, wall-hung, low-level and high-level versions; and there is a roll-top bath, a set of ceramic shower trays and brassware to match. It is the collection to start with in a Victorian or Edwardian house.

A bathroom from the Thornham collection

Thornham

Thornham has the proportions of a grand hotel bathroom. The basins run from 60cm to a 150cm double, and stand on metal washstands or wall-hung cabinets with aluminium legs. Overflow covers, washstands, towel rails and accessories are offered in chrome, gold and bronze, and many of the ceramics come in gloss black and matt colours as well as white.

Debenham

Debenham takes its cue from the bathrooms of the 1920s and 1930s. It includes basins at 80, 100 and 120cm, a freestanding basin, a vessel basin, a high-level WC with its cistern, flush pipe and fittings, and washstands and wall frames in a choice of metal finishes. See the Debenham collection.

A bathroom from the Cretingham collection

Cretingham

Cretingham is three sculpted ceramic basins, the Cocktail, the Flute and the Hurricane, each with its own profile. They suit a cloakroom, a dressing room or a guest bathroom where one piece should set the tone.

A bathroom from the Kersey collection

Kersey

Kersey is a collection of baths in four plan shapes: oval, round, square and rectangular, each in more than one size. Check access, floor loading and the waste position before you choose; our guide to freestanding baths covers each point.

Kettleburgh

Kettleburgh is our range of ceramic kitchen and utility sinks, the No.1, No.2 and No.3, in widths from 600mm to over 900mm, for a kitchen, scullery, pantry or boot room. See the Kettleburgh collection.

Otley

Otley and Earl Soham are furniture units sized for the Wingfield basins, with drawer and open versions in a choice of sizes and worktop colours. See the Otley collection.

Contemporary collections

For new rooms and full refurbishments. Wall-hung WCs and basins need concealed frames and enough wall depth to take them, which is worth confirming with your builder early; our guide to choosing a WC explains the options.

A bathroom from the Orwell collection

Orwell

Orwell is the most complete of our contemporary suites. It covers basins in several sizes and forms, wall-hung and back-to-wall WCs including quiet-flush versions, bidets, a 145cm bath, basin, bidet and bath mixers, a shower set, wall units, a mirrored cabinet, shelves and a full set of accessories, so a whole room can be specified from one family.

A bathroom from the Stour collection

Stour

Stour has crisp, squared edges. It includes 60cm vessel and semi-inset basins, with and without a tap ledge; close-coupled, back-to-wall and wall-hung WCs; bidets; slim seats; and a bath.

A bathroom from the Deben collection

Deben

Deben offers the widest choice of WC and bidet sizes in our contemporary range, from compact pans for a cloakroom to longer projections for a principal bathroom, together with basins from 40cm to 90cm, a bath, a floor cistern and seats.

A bathroom from the Alde collection

Alde

Alde is a basin collection that runs from a 35cm round to a 140cm double, with corner basins, brass and steel washstands, a brass wall-hung vanity and towel rails sized to fit the basins.

A bathroom from the Blyth collection

Blyth

Blyth is compact and soft in outline: a freestanding basin, a 170cm bath, back-to-wall and wall-hung WCs and bidets, urinals and a natural wood bath shelf.

See the Blyth collection

A bathroom from the Gipping collection

Gipping

Gipping pairs semi-recessed basins with wall-mounted cabinets, so the basin sits partly proud of the furniture and the unit stays shallow, which helps in narrow rooms.

See the Gipping collection

Lark

Lark is one basin form in four sizes, with a bath to match, for rooms that want the same shape repeated at different scales. See the Lark collection.

Waveney

Waveney is our gallery collection: freestanding basins, ceramic sculptures, tables, stools and lamps, made as statement pieces for a principal bathroom or a dressing room. See the Waveney collection.

A bathroom from the Brett collection

Brett

Brett is a pair of vessel basins, one round and one square, with ceramic pedestals so they can stand on the floor. Dove, Linnet and Ore are vessel basins for a worktop or washstand; Ore is made in an unusually wide range of gloss and matt glazes, with a lower version, Ore Low.

See the Brett collection

Wingfield

Wingfield is a basin and furniture pairing, sized to sit on its own vanity units, with a choice of tap-hole arrangements. See the Wingfield collection.

Furniture made to match

Any of these collections can be paired with vanity units, cabinets and panelling made in our joinery workshop at Mickfield, drawn around the basin you choose and finished to suit the house. Our design service brings the ceramics, brassware and joinery together on one drawing.
