Orwell Shower with Hand Shower and 200mm Shower Head
Price range: £924.48 through £1,603.58
We list two exposed shower sets, each with a fixed head and a hand shower. The Framsden exposed shower has a riser and a 20cm head, in chrome, gold or bronze, to match Framsden basin and bath taps. The Orwell shower has a 200mm head, in matt white, matt black, chrome or nickel, to match the rest of Orwell’s brassware and accessories.
Choosing an exposed shower
An exposed shower has its pipework on the wall, so it is quicker to fit and easier to reach for maintenance than a concealed valve. In a period bathroom the riser is part of the look. Pick the finish to match the taps and the bath mixer, so the metalwork in the room is all one colour.
The hand shower is useful for rinsing the tray and for washing hair without wetting the whole body. Have it at a height that suits the tallest and shortest users.
Water pressure and safety
Every shower has a minimum working pressure, given on its specification sheet. A gravity-fed system with a cold tank in the loft may not reach it without a pump; a combination boiler or unvented cylinder usually will. Check before you order, and ask us if you are unsure. Hot and cold supplies to a shower should be balanced, and the installer should confirm the hot water temperature is controlled.
See shower trays, taps and mixers and the Orwell collection.
Fittings connected to the mains supply should carry WaterRegsUK approval. Call 01449 711782 if you would like us to check a piece against your plans.
