Description
The Alde 100cm Basin with Side Shelf is part of our Alde collection and sits in our basins range.
Alde is a basin collection running from a 35cm round to a 140cm double, with brass and steel washstands, a wall-hung vanity and towel rails sized to the basins.
The nominal size is 100cm. The basin can be specified on a pedestal, a washstand, a cabinet or the wall, depending on the room and the rest of the furniture.

Before you order
A specification sheet with full dimensions is available for this piece; ask us and we will send it, or bring your plans to the showroom at Mickfield.
Fitting the 100cm Basin with Side Shelf
A basin is heavy once filled, so it must be fixed to a solid wall or to noggins set into a stud wall, using fixings suited to that wall. Choose taps to suit the number of tap holes, and a slotted or unslotted waste to suit the overflow. Where a basin is wall-hung the trap is on show, so pick a bottle trap in a finish to match the taps. Building work in a bathroom falls under the Building Regulations, and Approved Document G covers sanitary fittings and hot water safety.
Looking after it
Wipe furniture and seats with a damp cloth and mild soap, and dry them; do not leave water standing on painted or timber surfaces. Avoid bleach and abrasive cleaners. Our care guide covers each finish in more detail.

Lead time is 5-6 weeks from order; it carries a 10 year warranty. It travels on a pallet; delivery to mainland England and Wales is £65, and free when your order comes to £1,000 or more. See delivery for Scotland and the islands.
